Highway 169 lane closures in Jordan begin April 15

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter lane closures and delays on Highway 169 and County Road 9 in Jordan when crews begin construction of a new interchange starting April 15, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Beginning at 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, both directions of Highway 169 will be reduced to a single lane between Highway 282 and Highway 21 until late November. The lane closures are necessary for bridge and pedestrian underpass construction near the intersection at Highway 169 and Highway 282/County Road 9.

Starting at 5 a.m. on the same day, southbound County Road 9 will also be reduced to a single lane from Ervin Industrial Drive to the railroad tracks just north of Highway 169. This closure is expected to last through late April to allow crews to construct a temporary road that will be used during roundabout construction from spring through fall.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slow down in work zones where workers are present.

MnDOT, in partnership with the city of Jordan and Scott County, will build a new interchange at Highway 169 and Highway 282/County Road 9 from spring 2025 through 2027. Construction will include two bridges, large drainage culverts, two roundabouts, a pedestrian tunnel, sidewalks, retaining walls and noise walls. The project will improve safety and traffic flow and create better connections for pedestrians and bicyclists.
